George's Bio
George has spent more than 30-years fine tuning his craft of investment portfolio management in order to manage money for his clients with what he believes are the most successful techniques and disciplines available. Just like all investments are not the same, all investors are not the same, and he builds and monitors investment portfolios that are uniquely designed for each client. Some of his clients have been with him decades and he has helped them navigate through many financial challenges that come at different stages of life.
After graduating from Boys Latin School in Baltimore, Maryland, and Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, he spent several years in New York on Wall Street with Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody obtaining the experience and expertise to understand the many nuances of the global financial markets and the investment securities bought and sold in these markets every day. In 1990, George started Matthai Capital Management and in 2021 he joined us here at Perigon.
George is an avid reader of financial information and the sports page. He loves to follow some of the finest minds in the investment industry, while at the same time catching the latest news on his favorite teams: The Orioles, Ravens and Wizards. When not in the office, George loves to travel, spend time at the beach, and get in a round of golf.
